5 Star Youth Services
Life Skills Program

5 STAR 2020 MENTORING PROGRAM
One-on-one instruction, or mentoring, is one of the oldest forms of teaching.
5 Star uses mentoring as a viable resource because it provides encouragement and guidance to each adolescent or child that participates. This type of relationship is a prime missing factor in lives of at-risk and juvenile youth.
Our mentoring programs connect people who have specific skills, life experiences and knowledge with adolescents who need or want the same skills, life experiences and knowledge to change their lives and families lives for the better.
5 Star
Mission statement
We provide preventive and supportive services to our adolescent community. We target: substance abuse, high incarceration, teenage pregnancy, homelessness, violent behavior. Our parent and youth community programs and out-reach services target at-risk youth and their families. Workshops on personal development, gun violence, advocacy, community involvement, job training, gang prevention, substance abuse, college prep and entrepreneurism are the challenges we address.
